Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) 2009 - 2010
The North Star Charter School PTO supports the school’s mission of developing character, virtues and leadership in a safe environment, in the pursuit of accelerated learning. The PTO supports the NSCS faculty, administration and Board of Directors by raising funds for purchasing items needed for the school, by addressing special requests of staff, teachers, and departments and by sponsoring many programs that provide direct needs for the students and staff. Volunteer Opportunities
Fun Run Coordinator and Volunteers needed for May Event* Last chance to fund raise for the Playground and Sports Equipment for Middle & High School. A coordinator and volunteers are needed for the Spring Fundraiser.
A "Fun Run". The coordinator/volunteers can create a day for the kids to have the fun community building event and exercise at the same time.
Help plan a course. Volunteers would be needed to help sell tickets prior to event, include a t-shirt in ticket, sell food, punch cards as students go around the course and more. Planning meetings need to start now to make this happen. Pick a day in May and you are on your way. If you are interested in volunteering or heading this fun event, contact Stephanie Killilea at dakays@earthlink.net or 870-4387. All proceeds will go to PTO and Athletic Department Middle and High School for Sports Equipment.
