North Star Middle School Ski/Snow Team Advisor: Mrs. Janell Hodsdon

Parent Meeting: RESCHEDULED to in-person on January 6th in Cafeteria from 6:00 – 7:00pm.  Athletes must be registered before this meeting, no later than 12/29/25 to be eligible for the 1st race. 

Last day to register for the season is 1/28/26. Snow Team athletes will have an opportunity to get individual photos or a poster with their gear. Sign up for photos here!

Season Info 2025/26:

Thank you for your interest in joining the North Star Snow Team for the 25/26 winter season! We look forward to a successful year! Below you will find some general information for the season.

The advisors this year will be Mrs. Hodsdon (Middle School) and Mr Hickey (High School) . The season will consist of 6 races, all taking place on Saturdays at Bogus Basin. The end of the season race (Dotty Clark) will be on Thursday, February 19th. Students are responsible for getting themselves to Bogus for their races.

Here is a quick overview of how the race program works. After completing the checklist of tasks below, you will receive a helmet sticker from us advisors on DATE:  TBD at our team hot chocolate and waxing night at North Star. You will use this helmet sticker to race throughout the season. You can choose more than one type of race as long as the times are not conflicting. You can also move races during the season if it is too easy or too difficult for you. If you need to change races during the season, you will need notify your school advisor by Tuesday of race week.

The cost this season will be $55. This will cover the cost of your team hoodie, help pay the Bogus Basin team fee, and cover other team related costs for the season. The cost for a Bogus Basin lift ticket on race days if you do not have a season pass is $30. All details and info can be found on the power point at the top of our website page.

 

Below are the items you will need to complete in order to be part of the club for this season.  All 4 steps need to be completed by 12/28/2025

4. Pay $55 fee either online here (Snow Team) or drop off cash or a check made to North Star MS Ski/Snow Team to the front office.

Come pick up your helmet sticker (needed for 1st race on January 10th, take your photo with your gear for personal purchase & locker posters, get your gear waxed if you need it by Ridgeline Rentals employees ($10), and enjoy some hot chocolate and treats! This is a good chance to meet your coaches in person as well as other athletes. We look forward to seeing you all! (If you are unable to make it, you can pick up your racing helmet sticker from your schools advisor that week)

 

NSMS Athletic Forms

IHSAA Sports Physical Form: A sports physical is required for first-time participants, grades 6-8, or any new student-athlete to North Star Schools. This form can be printed, picked up at the school office and completed at your local Doctor’s Office or Quick Care. Please request a copy of the completed sports physical and submit to athletic director of middle school front office.

Interim Health Update Form: Returning athletes with a sports physical currently on file: Complete this form and submit before the first day of practice.  Print this form or a copy can be picked up at the school office.  Please complete this form and submit to athletic director of middle school front office.
