About Us

NSCS High offers a rigorous college preparatory education within a small school experience. The advanced curriculum ensures core academic needs are met while students are challenged to meet their full potential in the midst of a close-knit and safe community. NSCS High has been named as one of America’s most challenging High Schools by the Washington Post. The 11th and 12th grades offer the prestigious college preparatory International Baccalaureate (IB) program.

  • Small school environment with a low student/teacher ratio
  • A rigorous, honors curriculum preparing 9th and 10 grade students for the IB program
  • Opportnity to participate in the prestigious, college preparatory IB program
  • Electives offered: choir, band, art, computer science, robotics, marketing, PE
  • Sports and Clubs offered: cross country, volleyball, basketball, track, ski club, student council, International Club, Anime Club, National Honors Society, DECA

North Star’s educational philosophy incorporates high expectations for achievement for both academics and behaviors in the grades 9 — 12. It emphasizes the use of technology and includes an economics thread that is interwoven at all grade levels.

In line with our charter, our High School (grades 9 – 12) offers an emphasis on courses in business and economics.

ABOUT NORTH STAR CHARTER

North Star Charter School (NSCS) is a K-12 public charter school located in Eagle, Idaho. Founded in 2003, NSCS provides students a world-class education characterized by a safe, supportive and structured learning climate that encourages high academic achievement, intellectual confidence, leadership and virtuous citizenship. The school’s charter articulates the vision of its founders to think critically and to become virtuous citizen leaders in our local and world community.

We Look Forward to Getting to Know Your Family!

Our main admission entry points are kindergarten, sixth,  and ninth grades. Applications for other grade-levels are fully considered, but admission is solely based on space availability due to student attrition.
