About Us
NSCS High offers a rigorous college preparatory education within a small school experience. The advanced curriculum ensures core academic needs are met while students are challenged to meet their full potential in the midst of a close-knit and safe community. NSCS High has been named as one of America’s most challenging High Schools by the Washington Post. The 11th and 12th grades offer the prestigious college preparatory International Baccalaureate (IB) program.

North Star’s educational philosophy incorporates high expectations for achievement for both academics and behaviors in the grades 9 — 12. It emphasizes the use of technology and includes an economics thread that is interwoven at all grade levels.
In line with our charter, our High School (grades 9 – 12) offers an emphasis on courses in business and economics.
North Star supports student achievement and success through a strong partnership between our families and the School.

Joshua Ineck, North Star Charter: Named Idaho Statesman player of the week (April 25-May 1st) He pitched a perfect game in a 21-0 win vs. Idaho City. He struck out eight in four innings of the mercy rule-shortened game.

Students have the opportunity to take International Baccalaureate coursework and exams. The IB participation rate at North Star Charter School is 100%. The total minority enrollment is 15%. North Star Charter School is the only high school in the North Star Charter School Inc. District

School Board Elections

North Star Track Senior Athlete – Josh Nichols
We would like to acknowledge and congratulate Josh Nichols, the only senior on our track team, for all of his achievements and dedication through the years while representing North Star. Josh qualified to state all 4 years of high school.

Box Tops Contest
The Top 3 Classes for collecting the most Box Tops over the whole school year received a Rootbeer Float Party last week as well as won gift cards for the teachers to spend for the classroom.

NSCS National Honor Society
Congratulations to all the students that were inducted into the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society on Wednesday, April 24th.
