North Star Newsletter August 2024
What a beautiful time of year in Idaho. This is my absolute favorite time and I hope you are all able to get out and enjoy some time outside this weekend. It always takes a while to get the school year underway, but I feel October is the month where we have our feet underneath us as we establish those positive relationships with our students and families. We continue to work extremely hard to provide the best education for our students, which our results validate each year. Please take time to check in with your students to ensure they are staying organized, communicating with their teachers, and making school a priority. This month’s newsletter showcases our amazing students and teachers as well as illustrates the great events that have taken place. A huge shout out to our PTO and all the efforts they have put in already this fall. We are so lucky to have such a supportive group working with us! Hitting the road to Moscow… Go Vandals!
Have a great weekend

We extend our deepest gratitude to the North Star PTO for their unwavering support and dedication. Your ongoing efforts have not only helped foster a stronger sense of community within our school, but also played a vital role in funding important needs, such as technology enhancements and facility improvements. Thank you for making a difference!
We have an amazing PTO! Thank you for the time and dedication to all who helped and volunteered to put together such a fun night for our North Star community. We love seeing parents and students of all grades come together and have fun. Thank you to all who helped out and attended!
The K-5 Counseling team, Mrs.Holladay and Mrs. Mahaffey, enjoyed getting into every K-5 classroom during the week of September 16th. They took a special guest, Officer Kearney with them. As North Star’s officer he works hard to make North Star a safe place to be. We told the students we all have to be a part of making North Star safe and covered the following topics…
*Appropriate materials to bring to school
*Good words and actions to use
*Saving videos games, YouTube talk, and pretend play for home
*Following directions during safety drills
North Star has been adopted… By Ada County Deputy Jeff Hazer!
